Services We Provide

R4R acts as a lending library. Up to 8 tapes may be borrowed for sixty days. Our library includes categories of music starting from the 1900's to the present, short stories, poems, and readings. Specialty tapes include:

  • Sound Effects
  • Ethnic Music
  • Religious
  • Exercise
  • Slow Down

Tapes may be used for friendship for the homebound; groups can use the tapes for enjoyment and fellowship; individuals can take tapes to hospitalized family and friends; nursing homes can use tapes for activities and relaxation.

In addition, music has been proven to have a therapeutic effect on individuals with traumatic brain injuries or stroke. R4R also loans books with information on how to use music in activities and exercise. The books are listed in the catalog.

Please call our office concerning special needs. Music can be customized for specific uses and disabilities, such as, coma, alzheimer's or dementia.
